Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, size, fitness level or flexibility.  The focus is on moving energy, the postures are simple, and the breathing practices are possible for us all.
Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness
Through practice we become more aware of our thoughts and actions, enabling us to make choices for our highest good.  Practicing Kundalini Yoga gives us the capacity to go beyond ourselves to reach Higher Self. Life then becomes a creative expression of our soul’s purpose. 

The Practice
Kundalini Yoga includes postures, mantras, mudras (positions of the hands), meditation, relaxation, and breathing practices that release reservoirs of energy and healing.  Rather than holding static poses, Kundalini yoga postures are flowing movement sequences combined with powerful breathing techniques designed to simultaneously energize the body, quiet the mind, and awaken the spirit.

The Chakras
The chakras—the body’s powerful energy centers—are directly related to our physical health, and also affect our perceptions, thoughts, feelings, and choices. Kundalini Yoga opens and balances the chakras, bringing mental clarity, while allowing us to forgive ourselves, others, and past situations as the starting point to releasing negativity, limitations and fear. 

How Kundalini Yoga works:

We experience the body as a vehicle for healing as we work on all levels to balance our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. When we awaken the kundalini energy we become our authentic selves, ready to meet life’s challenges with courage and grace, experiencing a constant flow of joy. 

What to expect
Everyone can practice Kundalini Yoga regardless of age, size, fitness level, or flexibility, as the focus is on moving energy, the postures are simple, and the breathing practices are possible for everyone

Vikki Taylor is a mind-body teacher who joyfully shares the wisdom gained from her own self-healing journey through the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, You Can Heal Your Life®, Healing Life Yoga, and Yoga for PTSD. She creates a safe and comfortable environment for her students, empowering and guiding them to dive deeply into their own experience of self-discovery.  A KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher with a specialty in PTSD and a licensed Heal Your Life ® workshop leader, Vikki teaches individuals and groups in Austin, Texas, and offers transformational retreats worldwide.
